Hello Retail Performance Tracking

This guide explains how to track Hello Retail performance and how to interpret the Dashboard metrics.

Hello Retail provides key data points to assess how our services perform on your shop. When you log in, the first view is the Dashboard. It shows performance metrics that compare visitors who interact with Hello Retail features to those who do not.

Performance overview

On your Dashboard, you will see the following metrics:

Box 1: Comparative order size

Relevant recommendations and search results increase the likelihood of purchase and the average order size.

This box compares the average order value for customers who do not interact with Hello Retail features to those who do. In the example above, the average order value is 25% higher when a customer interacts with Hello Retail—from 457.30 to 575.80 DKK. Actual results vary by shop, but a higher average order value is common.

Box 2: Comparative conversion rate

Hello Retail’s relevant product recommendations can improve the conversion rate, defined here as the percentage of visitors who complete an order.

Visitors are split into two groups: those who did not interact with Hello Retail features and those who did. For each group, we calculate how many visitors completed an order and compare the rates. In the example above, the conversion rate is higher for visitors who interact with Hello Retail.

Box 3: Average Hello Retail identified users

Hello Retail tracks visitor behavior using a unique cookie for each visitor. In some cases, we can associate this cookie with an email address, for example via newsletter interactions or other consented methods.

This box shows how many visitors Hello Retail has identified with an email address. Identification is primarily relevant if you use Hello Retail newsletter content because it enables personalized recommendations.

Box 4: Conversions attributed with Hello Retail

This metric shows the number of completed orders where the customer interacted with Hello Retail features leading up to the order, based on our attribution window.

Notes about the data and session times

Interpret these metrics in the context of how Hello Retail attributes conversions. Other tools, such as Google Analytics, may use different session definitions or attribution models, so direct comparisons require aligning those assumptions.

When Hello Retail observes that an order has been placed, we look back 24 hours at the customer’s activity. If the customer interacted with Hello Retail features within that window, the order is attributed to Hello Retail.
