Newsletter Content and Google Analytics (UTM parameters)

In this guide, you can read and learn about UTM parameters for your newsletter content campaigns.

By default, Hello Retail is attaching UTM parameters to your Newsletter content campaigns, whether you are using Manual, Rolling or Auto campaigns.


UTM Attributes

The following UTM attributes are attributed clicks via Newsletter content campaigns:

campaign "the actual id of the individual campaign"

Optionally, you can choose to manually overwrite medium and campaign on campaign level.

Note However, please avoid doing this on Auto campaigns - as you'll be unable to distinguish campaigns from each other. That's because the "campaign" value will then end up as the same for future auto-created campaigns.

Overwrite UTM Parameter

If needed, you can choose to overwrite the UTM parameter in the final step (Code snippet) of the campaign creation process: 

  • Click the "UTM settings" button where you can overwrite the medium and campaign parameters:

  • Remember to click on the "Save" button to save your changes.
