With this guide, you will know how to set up Swiipe Plus-Sell, with Hello Retail as a recommendation engine.

General

Swiipe gets the products to insert into Plus-Sell via calling the Hello Retail API. This call is linked to a specific Product Box Key defined inside Hello Retail and includes references to user tracking (cookies) and URLs of the products contained in the order; these values are available in the Hello Retail Product Box setup. The setup defines the type of product relations to be returned and shown in the Plus-Sell Box.

Note that the Product Box Key is unique for each specific domain, as the Box shall return product relations from that individual domain. So if you have more than one webshop, you should create a Product Box Key for each one.

How to get the API Key

First, you need to draft a new recommendation.

To do that, click on the Recommendations section on your Dashboard and then on Overview in the dropdown menu.

Click on Create new, navigate to Other in the dropdown menu and select Recently purchased products in the second dropdown menu.

Then you will see the following page:

In the Name box, you can specify any name you need to make your Key easy to find.

In the Recommendation strategy section, you define the products to provide your customer with on the order confirmation page. Clicking on Customize allows you to tailor the presentation of products in the way you need. You can also choose various filters for the same purpose.

Once your recommendations have been set up, click on Save and publish to activate them.

Having this done, the Product Box Key can be found at the top of the page created.

Now you need to insert the Product Box Key into the Swiipe settings on the control panel of a platform you use (currently available only for WooCommerce, Magento 1 and 2).
