How To Edit Global Price Filters For Recommendations

Global price filters can help you customize which products will be shown to the customer. It is an easy and simple way of applying filter logic to all steps of your recommendation strategy. The recommendation strategy defines which products are displayed for the customers. You can change the behavior of how the product recommendations should be delivered by adding filters which then change or modifies your strategy. 

Global filters can be configured and applied for your desired needs such as specific brands, how many products to be shown in recommendations, in what hierarchy, etc. in terms of different filters. In this guide, the Upsell step will be used as an example to showcase how to apply the global filter. We will show how to do the price filter and limit the price filter for Upsell recommendations to only show products for less than 200. If you would like to know more about Upsell, then click here.


  1. Start off by signing into your Hello Retail account. From the Companies overview, access the desired company under the Websites column and click on your company.

  2. Navigate to Recommendations in the left menu and click on Overview in the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the recommendations that you would like to add a global price filter to. In this case, we will be using the Upsell as an example.

  4. On that page, scroll down to Recommendation Strategy and unfold the topic box by clicking on it.
  5. Click on Add filter button. In this case, choose a price in the first input field from the drop-down menu and toggle the remaining two input fields as you want.
